I’ve always enjoyed design. As a kid, I dreamed of being an architect. As reality set in on all that would entail (cost, schooling, responsibility, time, blood, sweat, and tears) I set my heart on a different career path that would hopefully allow me to do all those things about architecture that I’ve always loved, but maybe without all the responsibility and detail that made me nervous. I am most definitely a furniture nerd, attributing to the fact that I’ve worked for a Knoll company (that is, where many of the founding fathers [and mothers] of interior design stretched their ideas in function, design, and furniture within this company almost 70 years ago) now for two years. It’s amazing being surrounded by pieces that have inspired so many, and inspired me throughout college, while I work every day.
My name is Amy. I do design work and “project managing” at a business in Erie, PA, called AJ Grack Business Interiors. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Interior Design. My job consists of planning and laying out offices, work stations, receptions, conference rooms, libraries, and any other room you can think of that is needed in a business. I do a wide variety of tasks at my job, and enjoy it very much. It is a great place to work, with great people, and the experience that I’ve acquired there really could not be matched anywhere.
Other bits of information about me: i love computers & technology, music, volleyball, magazines & books, flannel sheets, and Jesus.
