no, this is not a post about another tattoo i am getting…
though, yes, i would like another, but don’t worry, it won’t happen (at least not for a while).
but, for any of you who were afraid my tattoo doesn’t mean what i had been told, here’s some proof! this actually made me really excited:
1) its a KANJI symbol. thanks to my friend josh, i was able to find this out!! haha.
2) here are a few different translations:
- this IS my tattoo (ankle). the translation is “Kindness, Goodness, Favor”. i like that.
- this is “Grace, Dignity” according to the same site…yeah…doesnt look like that
- this is “Grace of God” according to another site. mine is the 3rd symbol:
so. pretty interesting huh?

so either americans don’t know how to translate kanji or the chinese like to confuse us
i like the symbol though.
It’s crazy that we even have to worry about whether or not a tattoo says what you think it says….seems to be a widespread problem….you would think there would be an easier way….geez….
but glad your’s says what you think…or at least you think it does…or uh…yea…
The last example showing Grace of God is the proper translation with the correct Kanji. The 1st symbol is God, and the third is Grace. I have taken Martial Arts for over a decade and our style’s greeting is “Sing-On” meaning God’s Grace, and those Kanji are on our uniforms to signify that greeting, hope that helps!
thank you benjamin for the explanation,i have erased the 2nd and 4th symbol in last picture (not knowing what they mean) and left with Gods Grace
Peace and Love
